give cold machinations
and turnkey privileges
on the plain:
it’s staked
it’s stalked
the coolness
and no regret
around
his squinting eyes

Todd Moore was pure dynamite – in the way he wrote, the way he lived, and the abundance of raw energy that he poured into everything that he did. My last conversation with Todd was March 11th, 2010. I wished him the best on his short trip out of town and promised to [...]

wolfgang carstens | for todd moore

first thing
i stabbed
my ex-wife
in her gut
& ripped
the blade
upwards
spilling
her intestines
on her shoes
like spaghetti
noodles then
i slashed
her face the
tip of her nose
went flying
into the tall
grass the fifty
bucks i spent
on the bayonet
was a real bargain
Moore said
as the electric
door on our
steel cell slammed
shut on our
dreams
